Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Museum Visit

Somehow, I always end up over scheduling our weekend. Too many interesting happenings. Just can't resist. Today is just one of those days. This is where I dragged the whole family on an early Saturday morning.
Address; Jalan Lapangan Terbang Lama, Sg Besi
GPS Map Code: 3.116659,101.702959
Fee; FOC

We began our tour exploring the hangar. Apparently, we were not the only visitors. There were quite a number of people. So I ain't crazy, kiddos. Some people do spend their Saturday morning visiting aircraft museum ;-)
Brief history of RMAF.
Brief history of the Sg Besi airport.
 Inside the hangar.
Some people just take longer to warm up to get interested with the aircraft. The one who found the fishes in the pond wayyy more interesting than the aircraft. And pulled her brother along. BTW, big brother is 2 weeks away from his PMR exam. Why is he not studying at home??? Blame his mom *facepalm*
Little Missy finally warmed up. Busy in the cockpit. Pretending they were somewhere in Africa. With some storms and tornadoes and the animals.
The one who cannot get enough of the cockpit. She just went crazy pretending herself to be this and that.
 The cockpit.
 Is that a calculator?
De Havilland Canada DHC-4A Caribou M21-04.
Inside the aircraft. Getting the feel before she went crazy in the cockpit again.
Being in the cockpit can trigger your creative juice.
It doesn't matter that the sun is scorching hot.
 Don't disturb me, ummi.
I have to get up coz my mom kept pestering me about the sun & the heat. But I am not done yet.
Still not done.
OK, done.
The object of fascination. The Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer FM1001 – named as ‘Lang Rajawali’ by the first Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman.

Not bad ehh?? For a girl who's more interested with the fishes ;-)

Moral of the story; Sometimes, the kids might not seem to be interested at first. But they can get inspired later. So u never know. And when they do, they can be really2 persistent. So not everything is love at first sight. Just keep exposing them to different things. They might surprise u.

U can also visit the gallery. Lots of info on the history of RMAF.
We spent about 1.5 hours going around the hangar and visiting the gallery. Do check the place out ;-)
